Ready to take the first step toward enrollment? Start by accepting your offer of admission through the application portal. A $100 enrollment deposit is required to reserve your seat in the program.
Your enrollment advisor can provide valuable guidance and connect you with the right people and resources to help ensure your success in the program. You can email your advisor directly or schedule a time to meet virtually.
If you’re planning to seek financial aid to help cover tuition for the MS in Computer Science program, begin by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using the University of Tennessee, Knoxville code 003530.

Pay Enrollment Deposit
Accept your offer of admission and pay the $100 nonrefundable enrollment deposit to reserve your seat. This is applied to your first term’s tuition.

Meet Your Student Support Coach
Once you complete your program enrollment by accepting your offer of admission and making your deposit, your enrollment advisor will introduce you to your student support coach about nine weeks prior to the start of classes.

Register for Classes
Log into MyUTK, then select “Add/Drop Courses” and “Register for Classes.” To filter for UT online MSCS courses, click “Advanced Options” and enter:
- Subject: Computer Science
- College: Tickle College of Engineering
- Campus: DE (Distance Education)

Classes Begin
UT students admitted to the Summer 2025 term will begin classes on June 23, 2025. For advice on how to prepare for online learning, connect with your support coach.
